Tastee Talent Trail Marvin Fishley

For 31 years the Tastee Talent Contest has been a fixture on the Jamaican entertainment landscape, and has had a rich history and tradition as the first and premier talent search competition in Jamaica. The competition provides a platform to showcase the range of talent that Jamaicans have, with a view to highlighting those with the greatest potential to build successful, long term careers in entertainment.
Some of Jamaica’s most popular artistes began their road to stardom as winners or finalists of the contest. They still acknowledge the impact that their Tastee experience has had on their careers. Most notable among these are Nadine Sutherland, King Yellow Man, Beenie Man, TOK, Paul Blake, Mr. Vegas and Cobra.

In 2007, the competition was renamed the Tastee Talent Trail – a name which reflects the journey that our artistes embark on from the time that they first grace the stage as amateurs, to becoming successful, professional entertainers. The competition was presented with new branding and a new format that took the competition island-wide and onto national television with a 9-episode TV series.
